Safeguarding

Healthcare safeguarding and patient protection

Safeguarding & anti-fraud

Protecting patients, communities, donors, and the mission.

OHF’s healthcare work involves mothers, children, vulnerable patients, volunteers, health partners, and donors. Safeguarding and ethical conduct must sit at the center of operations.

Safeguarding commitments

Standards for responsible outreach.

These commitments guide outreach activity, volunteer conduct, patient protection, donor confidence, and ethical healthcare collaboration.

1

Protection First

Activities involving mothers, children, and vulnerable patients prioritize safety, dignity, informed consent, and privacy.

2

Volunteer Conduct

Volunteers and field teams receive orientation on respectful conduct, confidentiality, reporting channels, and boundaries.

3

Clinical Boundaries

Outreach activities use appropriate referral pathways and avoid claims or services outside approved capacity.

4

Incident Reporting

Safeguarding concerns, misconduct, fraud, or misuse of donor resources can be reported through official OHF contact channels.

Anti-fraud statement

Donor resources must be protected and used for approved purposes.

No Unauthorized Fundraising

Only official OHF channels collect donations. Donors can verify payment links, emails, and bank details before sending funds.

Restricted Funds

Funds designated for equipment, outreach, maternal healthcare, or diagnostics are recorded and used for the stated purpose.
