Volunteer Safeguarding
Volunteers are expected to protect dignity, privacy, and safety in every OHF activity. Safeguarding applies to children, vulnerable adults, patients, caregivers, community members, volunteers, staff, partners, and visitors.
- Follow the assigned coordinator’s instructions before, during, and after outreach.
- Never collect clinical or personal information unless the approved role requires it.
- Escalate safety, abuse, exploitation, harassment, privacy, or consent concerns immediately.
- Use aggregate, approved information for reporting; do not share identifiable patient or beneficiary details.
- Keep media activity consent-aware, respectful, and aligned with OHF communications guidance.
